House, C15 with remodelling of C17 and later. One storey and attics. 3-cell
cross-entry plan. Timber-framed and roughcast. Pantiled roof once thatched;
an axial C17/C18 chimney of red brick, partly rendered. An internal end
chimney to left, probably C18 red brick. Pantiled raking dormers with C18 3-
light leaded casements, each light has a pointed head in the Gothick manner
above a transome; original hinged boarded shutters. Late C18 doorway at
cross-entry position: boarded with applied beading forming panels containing
pointed arched heads; a simple gabled canopy on brackets. The right hand cell
contains high quality close-studding, unchamfered floor joists and a blocked
window with square mullions, all of C15 or c.1500. The interior is otherwise
much remodelled with little timber-framing exposed at date of survey.
