Former farmhouse, probably C16 or earlier. 3-cell plan with lobby-entrance.
One storey and attics. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof with two
C18 gabled thatched dormers with C19 small-pane casements. An axial late C16
or early C17 chimney of narrow buff bricks, the shaft recapped in C19 red
brick. Mid C20 steel small-pane casements. C19 gabled plaintiled porch at
lobby-entrance position. Interior not examined. Set-forward to right and
attached corner-to-corner is the former bakehouse range; now a separate
dwelling known as No.28 Thorney Green Road. (See following item).
