3/90 White House
Farmhouse, c.1840-60 with earlier (possibly C17) core. Gault brick, encasing
in part at least a timber-framed core. Concrete tiled roofs. Mid C19 axial
chimneys of gault brick, with sets of 4 square diagonally-set attached shafts.
H-plan: a 2-window hall range with slightly set-forward cross-wings. 2
storeys. Mid C19 windows with flat arches of finely gauged brick; small-pane
sashes. A central C19 gabled entrance porch of gault brick: cusped and
pierced bargeboards, door with 2 vertical panels and panelled reveals. An
earlier C19 or perhaps late C18 rear service wing to right is of flint rubble
up to 1st floor level and of red brick above: casements with segmental heads.
