3/96 St. Margaret's Priory

House, C15 core with alterations of several periods. 3 main sections: to
right is a C15 crosswing, at centre a 2-window range, and to left a small
lower service range. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and plastered; the crosswing
is jettied at 1st floor level with exposed joist-ends and close-studding and a
pair of knees beneath the jetty. Plaintiled roof: an axial chimney of red
brick in the hall range and another to rear of crosswing. Mainly early C20 3-
light casements, some with leaded glazing (at 1st storey, two windows may be
of C18). C20 boarded entrance door. Both main ranges are of C17 or earlier
origin. Interior not examined.
