Cottage, c.1600. One storey and attics. 2-cell end-chimney plan. Timber-
framed and plastered. Pantiled roof (most tiles glazed); formerly thatched.
A large external gable chimney of C17 red brick to rear; one C19 raking dormer
with 3-light casement. C20 casements. A C20 pantiled lean-to extension at
the front gable contains a bay window and glazed entrance door. Quite
complete original framing: arch windbraced studding, good floor joists for
date, those in the hall with slight chamfer. Clasped purlin roof. A large
original lintelled open fireplace. Included for group value.
