TM 17 SE
4/37 Street Farmhouse
Former farmhouse. Late C16 with slightly later wing to rear, forming T-shape
plan. Timber framed. C19 red brick casing to facade, the remainder
plastered. Thatched roof. 2 storeys. Front range of 2-cell, lobby entry
form. 2 windows, 3-light casements with a single horizontal glazing bar to
each light; the ground floor windows have segmental arches and brick
hoodmoulds. Mid C20 lean-to brick porch with side door; within the porch is a
4-panelled door. Over the porch is a single-light window. Internal stack.
Interior not examined, although protruding purlins set square suggest a queen-
post roof.
