House. Late C17. Renovated and extended to rear mid C20. Timber framed and
plastered under a thatched roof. 1 1/2 storeys. Mid C20 single-paned casement
windows. 2 gabled dormers. To the right a mid C20 battened door and gabled
open porch. Internal stack. An addition to the stack for bread ovens
projects slightly forward under a lean-to roof. Poor quality studding with
straight primary braces. Main room has on-edge elm joists, all numbered.
Right hand cell has slightly heavier joists set square. Clasped-purlin roof;
the section to the right of the stack has a ridge piece and is probably later.
