2 cottages, originally one dwelling. C15 or early C16 core with considerable
later alterations. Timber framed and plastered with a thatched roof. 1 1/2
storeys. C20 casement windows. Little Thatch has a C19 enclosed wooden
porch: 4-centre arched entrance with boarded door. No.4 has a mid C20 gabled
porch and boarded door. 3 gabled dormers. Small gable stacks. No.4
comprises part of an open hall house with a queen-post roof: some of the
original work (including the open truss) is intact but much else is altered or
concealed. The structure of 'Little Thatch' is entirely concealed. No.4
under renovation at time of survey (May 1986).
