Pair of cottages, early C17 or earlier; subdivided and remodelled mid C19. 2
storeys. 3-cell cross-entry plan. Timber-framed and encased in mid C19 red
brick with gault brick quoins and dressings. Double-Roman pantiled roof. A
large axial chimney of narrow late C16 or early C17 bricks. Mid C19 small-
paned casements: segmental arched heads of gault brick. Two mid C19 boarded
entrance doors, one probably at cross-entry position; a third in left hand
gable replaced by framed and boarded door c.1986. A little plain framing
exposed at service cell to left: remainder of interior not examined.
