House. C16 or possibly earlier origins; considerable C17 and later
alterations forming a small 2-cell house. Timber framed and plastered under a
pantiled roof. 1½ storeys. 2 windows, mid C20 standard casements without
glazing bars. To left a C19 door with mid C20 face. Internal stack with C18
or C19 red brick shaft. Pantiled rear lean-to. The frame is in 3 bays, the
right bay a C17 addition. Earlier work has curved wall braces passing through
floor level; arched-braced open truss immediately to left of stack, now mostly
removed. Stack is a later insertion, with a small newel stair behind, partly
of C17 date. Structure of floor and roof largely concealed.
