House. C15 with late C16 parlour cross-wing to left. Timber framed and plastered under a thatched roof, half-hipped to the right. 1½ storeys with 2-storey cross-wing. Small casement windows with horizontal glazing bars, mostly of C19 date. Earlier part has lobby entrance with boarded door. The stack, with a plain oblong shaft of C16-C17 date, is at the junction of the 2 sections. Earlier section comprises service end and part of a former open hall. Service end has substantial square joists and coupled-rafter roof.
Service partition has traces of sooting. Inserted floor has axial bridging beam and quite small plain joists, set flat. Roof over hall concealed. In the parlour, an axial bridging beam with large chamfer and chamfered joists. The ceiling of the chamber above is unusually high and there is evidence to suggest an attic floor has been removed. Back-to-back open fireplaces on ground floor.
