1/39 Three Bottles
- II
House, latterly a public house. Early C17 with C18 and C19 additions. Timber
framed and plastered with thatched roof. 1½ storeys. 3-cell form. Mid C20
casement windows with small panes. Cross-entry (now disused) with plank door,
architrave and cornice. Mid C20 open porch. 3 gabled dormers. Internal
stack with plain red brick shaft. To left is a one-storey addition, also
plastered, with a glazed black pantiled roof. The gable stack has an
octagonal shaft with star cap. C18 pantiled rear wing. Most of frame intact;
evidence for one diamond-mullioned window. Hall has plain joists. Floor
structure in parlour concealed and possibly renewed. Oak newel stair.
