House. Early C17; extended to west in 1910. Timber framed and plastered with
a pantiled roof. 2 storeys. 2-cell form. Mid C20 standard casement windows
without glazing bars; mid C20 glazed door. Internal stack with C19 shaft.
Addition is in common brick, also pantiled, and has a gable stack. The frame
is in 4 bays, much of it exposed on the first floor; some original windows,
the mullions plastered over. The tie beams were cut in mid C20 to form a side

for a ladder stair. In the other bays on the ground floor the structure is
concealed except for a plain unchamfered cross-beam which may be evidence for
a former smoke bay.
