6/61 No.37 (old Beer House)

House, at one time the Prince of Wales public house. C16 core, considerable
later alteration and rear additions. Timber framed, roughcast render,
plaintiled roof. 2 storeys. A range of 3 sash windows, 15-paned to ground
floor, 8-paned to upper floor. Doorway has boldly-moulded architrave with
corner squares containing a circle; mid C20 6-panel raised and fielded door.
Internal stack with rendered shaft. Long rear wing in 3 sections. Interior
not examined. Included for group value.
