DEBENHAM GREAT BACK LANE

Originally one house, now 2. Early C17. Mid C20 one-storey addition to
right, part of No.47. Timber framed, roughcast render, thatched roof. 2-cell
form. 2 storeys. Small-paned casement windows, 3 to ground floor, 2 to first
floor. C19 4-panel door. Internal stack with plain axial shaft. Mid C20
addition has standard casement windows and a glazed door. Interior. Some of
the structure is exposed inside No.45 although the studs are concealed. Axial
bridging beam with nicked stop-chamfers, slightly irregular plain joists set
flat. Blocked fireplace with original lintol. Interior of No.47 not
examined.
