GV II

House, formerly containing a shop. Early C18. Red brick with blue headers;
plaintiles. 2 storeys and attics. Brick cornice with rounded dentils; a
plain brick band to front; tumbled gables incorporating end chimney-stacks
with plain rectangular shafts. One dormer with a shallow segmental-arched
lead-covered roof and 2-light plain casement window. 3 old 3-light casement
windows to the upper floor with pintle hinges and 2 horizontal bars to lights:
a similar window on the ground floor left has a high segmental arch of 2-
colour brick. On the right, the former shop front in a flat-roofed canted
bay: 6-panel door, the top 4 panels glazed, rectangular plain fanlight, 2
flanking fixed small paned windows. Central house entrance with C20
'Georgian' door, bolection-moulded architrave and moulded triangular pediment.
To the left'of the main house, a mid C19 2-storey addition in kidney flint has
red brick quoins and dressings, plaintiled roof, a C20 plain casement window
to each storey, recessed plank door, end chimney.
