TL 97 SE WALSHAM LE WILLOWS WEST STREET

GV II

House. Early C19. In white brick with skate roof, hipped, with clipped
eaves. 2 storeys and attics. 2 flat headed dormers in the north slope of the
roof. 3 windows to first floor: small-paned sashes, reveals, gauged heads to
brickwork. On the ground floor, 2 french windows with transomes and margin-
pane glazing flank a central half-glazed entrance door beneath a Doric portico
with metope frieze. The south (garden) front has similar sash windows and a
single-storey flat-roofed semi-circular bay with 3 small-paned French windows.
A small 1½-storey wing at the rear is partly in red brick. Interior with 6-
panelled doors, sunk panels, panelled linings; semi-circular arched recesses;
geometrical stair with stick balusters and wreathed handrail.
