4/44 Malting 50m. south west of
- Elms Farmhouse

GV II

Maltings, now disused. Early C18 kiln with 2 early C19 ranges attached to the
east and north. Red brick; east range roofed with corrugated iron sheeting,
north range pantiled. Square kiln with tall tapering roof clad in tarred
sheet metal; brick sawtooth eaves cornice. The floor of perforated clay tiles
is intact. The attached ranges have various segmental-arched openings, mostly
slatted, and brick dentil eaves cornices. The intermediate floor of the east
range has been removed.
