Farmhouse. C16. Timber framed, entirely encased in C19 red brick; pantiled
roof. 2 storeys and attic. 3 cell form. 3 windows, C19 3-light casements
with a single horizontal glazing bar to each light; segmental arches. Mid C20
glazed door in the position of the cross-passage. Internal stack. Lean-to
additions at rear. Good interior with much exposed timbering. At the service
end are the original paired service doorways with arched heads and later
boarded doors. In the parlour 2 original windows with chamfered mullions have
been exposed; there is evidence for other original windows elsewhere in the
house. Newel stairs. The roof has a single row of clasped purlins with
arched wind-bracing.
