House, the surviving part of a farmhouse which was later converted to estate
cottages. Early or mid C17; the house originally extended further to the
right, where there are now single-storey additions. Originally timber framed,
now rebuilt in colourwashed brick; thatched roof. 2 storeys and attics. 2
windows, 3-light casements with pointed heads to the lights and square-leaded
panes; segmental arches. Central 2-centre arched doorway with boarded door.
Gable end stack to left, and to the right a heavier external stack with 2
attached hexagonal flues. Exposed unchamfered joists to ground and first
floor rooms; newel stairs, the attic flight original. Clasped purlin roof
with arched wind-bracing.
