Farmhouse. Late C16. 2 storeys and attics. Timber-framed and rendered;
weatherboarded gables; clay pantiles. An internal and an end chimney stack,
both with rendered shafts. Various old 2-light and 3-light casement windows;
enclosed and gabled C19 porch. Frame in 6 bays, including a chimney-bay; 3-
cell lobby-entrance form, with a 2-bay service room at the south end,
originally unheated (cf. Burkett's Farmhouse, Westhall for a similar
arrangement). Chamfered main beams with stepped stops, the chamfer continued
down the main posts; original upper ceilings. A blocked 4-light window with
moulded mullions on the ground floor; on the upper floor, one 4-light and one
5-light window with diamond mullions. Roof with clasped purlins, windbraces,
and intermediate collars between trusses.
