Barn, adjacent to White House Farmhouse. C16. Timber-framed, weatherboarded,
part with wattle-and-daub infill; thatch. 3 bays. Good framing, with full
height studs and reversed bracing; trusses with long arched braces in situ. A
cart entry into the middle bay, with a porch on the south side lengthened by a
short red brick addition. Roof in 3 bays corresponding to wall bays: one row
of clasped purlins, additional intermediate collars between the trusses; the
ridge has been replaced. On the east a single-storey 2-bay extension with
pantiled roof, the front slope raised, is not of special interest.
