Farmhouse. Circa 1600, in 2 closely-dated phases. 2 storeys and attics.
Timber-framed and mainly rendered; colour-washed brick to the ground floor on
the north-east and a brick lean-to at one end. Black glazed pantiles. 3 cell
form. An internal chimney-stack with a plain rebuilt red brick shaft. To the
right of the stack, the roof level is slightly lower. Various 3-light C20
casement windows; a cross window to the attic. Main beam only exposed on the
ground floor, with 3" chamfer and stepped stops. To the left of the stack, a
slightly later section with a cross-entry still in use. One main beam with 2"
chamfer and stepped stops. Remaining timbers covered. The house is set
sideways-on to the road.
