House. Late C18. Red brick, slated roof. 3 storeys. Double pile plan. The
main facade faces north: 5 bays, the centre bay set slightly forward. Inset
sash windows with glazing bars under flat brick arches; half-height windows to
second floor. Doorway with inset 6-panel raised and fielded door and semi-
circular fanlight with Gothick glazing bars; plain Roman Doric pilasters and a
dentil cornice with open pediment. Wooden eaves cornice and boarded soffit.
Triple-arched screen walls, terminating in lower sections of wall ramped to
them. 5 bays to rear, with a matching entrance door and fanlight; the
doorcase has been altered by the later addition of a porch. Elliptical arch
over entrance hall, giving access to the well stair which has slender turned
balusters and carved tread-ends.
