A late C18 or early C19 timber-framed and plastered house, altered later in the
C19. 2 storeys. 4 window range, double-hung sashes with single vertical glazing
bars, in moulded architraves. No 9 has an early C20 shopfront. Roof slate.
Included for group value.

Nos 1 to 8 (consec) with Nos 28, 29 and 31, all the listed buildings in Well Lane,
Stone Hall and Nos 36 to 40 (consec) Nethergate Street form a group.
