A C17 timber-framed and plastered house With 3 gables at the rear. Much altered
in the C19 and renovated in the C20. 2 storeys. 3 window range, double-hung
sashes with glazing bars, in cased frames. (2 are 3-light). The ground storey
has a C19 shopfront with pilasters and cornice and a small C20 shop window.
Roof tiled.

All the listed buildings in Well Lane with Nos 1 to 8 (consec) and No 31 Church
Street, all the listed buildings in Market Hill, Nos 1 to 8 (consec) Malting Lane,
Stone Hall and Nos 36 to 40 (consec) Nethergate Street and all the listed buildings
in Station Road form a group.
