Cottage. Probably C17. Rendered timber frame. Pantile roof with
gabled ends. Brick axial stack. 3-room plan with entrance lobby in
front of axial stack which heats the central room. The left hand room
was formerly heated from a gable end stack (demolished) and the lower
right hand room is unheated. Later outshut at rear of right end. 1
storey and attic. Asymmetrical 3 window west front. C20 casements.
C20 central porch with large gabled dormer above. C20 casements at
rear, outshut on left and gabled dormer to left of centre.
Interior: Exposed timber-framing. Chamfered axial beams in all 3
rooms and exposed unchamfered joists. The centre room's beam projects
into left room, suggesting that the partition has been moved making
the centre room smaller. Brick fireplace in centre room with
chamfered lintel with hollow step stops. On first floor common
rafters are exposed.
