2/101 Outbuildings to Nether Hall

GV II

Gate House to a group of outbuildings adjoining the 1901 wing of the house and now
forming part of the living accommodation. Late C19. 2 storeys. Red brick with
plaintiled roofs. Applied mock timbering on front. 3 gables the centre gable
higher and the roof behind surmounted by a gabled turret with a clock, and a
hipped roof with weathercock on top. The 2 outer gables are asymmetrical, with
their outer roof-slopes extending to grand storey level. One 3-light mullion-and-
transome type window to each storey of the outer gables, one 4-light mullion and
transome oriel window, supported on brackets, to upper storey of central gable, with
a wide carriage opening below it.
