TL 97 NW BARDWELL BARNINGHAM ROAD

Farmhouse. Early and mid C19. 2 storeys and attics: U-shaped form. Faced
in random kidney flint and red brick, with rusticated red brick quoins. Signs
of alteration to main front, with some window surrounds in white brick, and
white brick dentil cornice. Slate roofs. 2 2-storey canted bays, each with 3
small-paned sash windows, and a central small-paned sash window above the door.
Early C20 panelled double doors. Fine heavily ornamented early C19 cast iron
porch, in Egyptian style. Garden front has a red brick dentil cornice and
rusticated surrounds to windows and door. Small-paned sash windows, some with
original panes of cylinder glass: French windows inserted in place of one
window, door blocked, 2 sash-windows to ground storey, 4 to upper storey. Rear
range partly timber-framed and rendered.
