House. Early C17. 1½ storeys: 5 original bays extended later on north and
south. Timber-framed and rendered, with C20 roof of concrete plaintiles,
gabled on north and half-hipped on south. One original internal chimney-stack
with plain red brick shaft, and a C19 stack on the north gable wall. C20
small-paned casement windows, 3 dormers with single-pitch roofs at rear. C19
extension on west in flint and red brick, originally single-storey, now
heightened. Small C20 extension on east. Heavily restored, but exposed
ceilings and framing inside: the 2 bays to the south of the internal stack have
very wide, closely-spaced joists. Framing in the former gable-end wall on the
north is almost complete: blocked windows with remains of ovolo-moulded
mullions. Roof C20 renewed.
