Description

TL 8567-8567 FORNHAM ALL SAINTS ALDRIDGE LANE

3/1 No.13 Wychwood Cottage
14.7.55 (formerly listed as
Nos. 13 and 14)

GV II

House, formerly divided into 2. C17. 2 Storeys. Timber-framed and plastered
with C20 tiled roof. An internal chimney-stack with a plain red brick shaft.
2-light C19 casement windows with asingle cross-bar to lights on the ground
storey; small-paned 2-light caseement windows to upper storey, at the north end
at a lower level, indicative of a join in the structure, which is not all of
one date. Recessed plank door. A single-storey lean-to with pantiled roof on
the north end. Timbers exposed inside: straight primary braces and bisected
studs to ground storey; to the south of the stack the main beam and joists
exposed, and a partition wall has been removed: the northern half, including
the chimney-stack, appears to be an addition or replacement to an earlier
smaller house.
