4/48 The School House

Former house attached to village school. Circa 1850. 2 storeys.
Black knapped flint with white brick dressings and black glazed
pantiles. Hipped roof with wide eaves overhang. One window to
ground storey, 2 to upper storey, all with 2-light small-paned
casement windows with semi-circular arched heads, set into
corresponding arched surrounds in rusticated white brick. Off-
centre doorway with rounded arch and door with semi-circular
fanlight: enclosed gabled porch, in matching materials and style,
of slightly later date.
