TL 87 SE AMPTON (OFF) THE STREET

A pair of estate cottages, now one house. Mid C19. Built of large, coursed
flints, with rusticated red brick quoins and dressings. 2 storeys. Hipped
roof, black glazed pantiles to front slope, clay pantiles to remainder. An
internal chimney-stack with plain shaft. 2 3-light casement windows with a
single bar to lights, those on the ground storey with arched heads to the
surrounds. One plank door, the other door replaced by a window. A 2-storey
cross-wing at rear in similar materials, and a long single-storey lean-to along
the north side, with the roof in a continuous slope with the main roof. Included
for Group Value.
