Farmhouse. Late C16. 2 storeys and attics: 3-cell plan: set sideways-on to
road. Timber-framed and rendered, with pantiled roof. A small lean-to to
each side. An internal chimney-stack with plain red brick shaft. Various old
3-light and 2-light small-paned casement windows. Plank door with plain
surround. Frame in 6 bays: 2-bay central room with heavy main beam, chamfered
and scroll-stopped, and plain unchamfered joists, set flat. In remaining
rooms, only main beams exposed. On upper floor, reversed braces to corners,
arched braces to cambered tie-beams.
