House, formerly divided into 2 cottages. Late C17/early C18. One-and-a-half
storeys; 2-cell form. Timber-framed and rendered, with thatched roof, hipped
at both ends, and extended at the north end into a rear wing, forming an L. A
lean-to extension on the south end continues the downward slope of the main
roof. A further single-storey lean-to added along the west side. The main
house has an internal chimney-stack with saw-tooth shaft in small red bricks;
small-paned C20 casement windows; 2 eyebrow dormers. The framing is light-
weight: primary braces and bisected studs; joists set on edge; rafters
covered; straight collars and clasped purlins.
