Farmhouse. Late C17. 2 storeys: 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. Timber-framed,
rendered on the sides, faced in white brick circa 1880, when a porch was
added. A white brick lean-to along the rear wall. Black-glazed single Roman
tiles to main roof, pantiles to enclosed porch. An internal chimney-stack
with a plain red brick shaft. Small-paned sash windows in flush frames, some
probably reused from an earlier phase of the house. Main beams in both
principal ground-storey rooms with chamfer and complex scroll-stops: the stops
are placed well within the line of the walls, but there is no evidence of
reuse. To the east of the chimney-stack, the open fireplace has a wide brick
arch, and in the same room is a blocked original mullioned window in the gable
wall. In front of the stack, within the lobby, a late C19 stair with turned
balusters in C18 style.
