TL 86 NE GREAT BARTON THE PARK

1/15 Willow Cottage and
- Corner Cottage

House, divided in 2. Early C19. One storey and attics. Timber-framed and
plastered, with traces of comb-pargetting; black glazed pantiles. An internal
chimney-stack with a plain shaft of small Tudor bricks, and one end stack.
Pierced and fluted bargeboards to gables. 2-light casement windows with flat
hoodmoulds in Tudor style: diamond-leaded panes to Willow Cottage, a single
cross-bar to lights at Park Corner. 3 gabled dormers with 2-light C19
casement windows, fluted bargeboards, spike and ball finials. At the south-
east end of Willow Cottage, a rendered single-storey extension with a hipped
roof of clay pantiles. Timbers exposed inside are plain and light-weight,
with bisected studs, primary braces, and joists set on edge, all indicating
that the interior is not earlier than the exterior.
