Farmhouse, now divided into 2; the south-western side is still associated with
the farm. C17. 2 storeys and attics; basic 3-cell plan. Timber-framed and
rendered, with plaintiled roof. An internal chimney-stack with a large
panelled shaft and heavy oversailing head corbelled out over a rectangular
panelled base; dentil decoration. 4 windows to ground and first storeys:
casements with transome, 3 of 3 lights, one of 2 lights. 3 gabled dormers
with plain barge-boards and small-paned casement windows. 2 matching doors
with flush panels,plain surrounds, and slightly curved pediments. Little
framing exposed inside. A fine dog-leg stair with turned balusters and
rounded finials, in an original small wing behind the chimney-stack, rises to
the first storey only.
