House. Early C17. One storey and attics; 3-cell lobby entrance form; 5
bays. Timber-framed and rendered; thatched roof; an internal chimney-stack
with a plain red brick shaft. 2 2-light cast-iron casement windows with small
rectangular panes to front, and similar windows in the upper part of the
gables. Plain, good quality framing inside: widely-spaced studs, no middle
rails; the internal trusses with low collars and without tie-beams, to allow
for upstair access. The layout is of 3 basic units on the ground floor, but
only 2 rooms above. Stairs in one corner.
