Cottage orne. Circa 1840. One-and-a-half storeys; in Victorian Gothic style.
Timber-framed; old roughcast; thatch to the main roof, slates to the lean-to
roofs on the front. 2 internal chimney-stacks with hexagonal white brick
shafts. Fluted bargeboards to gables. A central projecting wing contains the
entrance; a 2-light casement window with flat hood-mould to upper storey, and
a 2-light casement window with pointed heads to lights on each side of the
plank door, which has an arched hood-mould. On each side of the projecting
wing is a single storey lean-to which has a hipped roof, one 2-light casement
window, and a single-light window with pointed head. In each gable-end a
little projecting canted bay with a battlemented wooden top and casement
windows to the ground storey, and a 2-light casement window with flat hood-
mould above. Most windows still retain octagonal leaded panes.
