C18. Owners recorded from 1710. Initials and date, PL, LL, CL 1792
probably refer to Lathbury family and to additions and alterations.
Lead pump, now in centre of garden as ornament, has panel with initials
and date, 1731, IH. 2 storey and attic, gable end window. Red brick,
centre breaks forward. Tiles. Wood bracket cornice, plinth. 2 windows,
sash with glazing bars and flush frames, 3 blank panels, centre panel
arched. 3-light sashes on ground floor. Shutter recesses to ground
floor windows, but shutters missing. Arched front door recess, 8-panel
semi-circular headed door, surrounded with a semi-circular ring of fixed
lights, with radial bars, upper panels diagonally fielded. There is a
timber framed earlier wing at rear with leaded windows. One panelled
room, with arched niches and fitted drawers, in mahogany.
