Erected 1877. Central dwarf fluted Doric column, with wheel and piston
action. Canopy of limestone and sandstone in Gothic style with pointed
arches, 4 angle buttresses and foliate finial. Platform and circular
troughs all contemporary.
All listed buildings in Market Hill form a group around Shire Hall.
