C18, 2 storey and + Owen ground floor, timber framed, plastered with
early C9 brick painted. Band. Slate roof, wide eaves soffit. A
mixture of pointed arched casements and sash windows with glazing bars.
Brick porch, with steps up, to ground floor, modern door. 3 window
face, east, and lower wing to south. Occupied in early C19 by
William Martin, an educational author who wrote under the name of
Peter Barley. Important position.
