2/9 The Round House


House, formerly a lodge. Mid C19 with later wings added C20. Original building
octagonal on plan in flint and brick quions; extensions in plaster finish.
Thatched roofs with centre stack in brick. All colour washed. Extensions have
thatched roofs with half hipped gables. Windows to octagonal part: 3-light
casements; ground floor windows have segmental brick arches. Wings have 3-light
casements with glazing bars. Entrance door recessed.
