Farmhouse. C16 (or possibly earlier) main range with a late C16/early C17
cross wing set forward to the right hand side and a further smaller wing also
set forward to the left hand side. U shape plan. Timber framed and
plastered, thatched roof. 2 storeys. Various casement windows, mainly C19
and C20; the cross wing has 2 original 4-light windows with square mullions on
the first floor. Modern boarded door to main range at the angle with the
cross wing; open corner porch. Internal stacks to main range and cross wing,
C19 gable end stack to left hand wing. Exposed internal timbering; one ground
floor room in the main range has 2 moulded and crenellated floor beams and a
similarly ornamented cornice, together with 2 good original arched doorways
into the cross passage; one blocked diamond mullion window to first floor of
left hand wing.
