TM 26 NE DENNINGTON THE STREET

House. Early C16. Timber framed and plastered; roof pantiled to front and
plaintiled to rear. 2 storeys, with a jettied first floor to the left hand
gable end. 3 windows, 2-light and 3-light mullion and transom casements;
asymmetrical doorway with C20 gabled porch and boarded door; internal stack.
There is a mutilated moulded floor beam on the ground floor, with the moulding
continued down the wall posts; arched head of original front doorway, now
blocked; newel stairs; simple crown post roof. The house may have originally
extended further to the north.
