Farmhouse. Mid C16. Timber framed and plastered with C19 yellow brick
facade; plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 4 windows, C19 and C20 mullion
and transom casements, segmental arches; lobby entrance with 6-panel door,
broad architrave and flat hood supported on enriched console brackets. 2
internal stacks, rebuilt in C19. Single storey lean-to addition on right hand
gable end. The centre room on the ground floor has roll-moulded beams and
joists with swept chamfers; some fine exposed framing on first floor; original
newel stairs. At the top of the attic stairs is a small plastered cupboard
with some pargetting, probably re-used: a fleur-de-lys over the door and the
figures of a man and a woman to either side; nearby in the attic is another
plaster fleur-de-lys.
