9/84 Yew Tree Cottage & The
- Cafe

GV II

Originally one house, now 2 dwellings. Mid C16. Timber framed and plastered,
with remains of plaster panels with herringbone pargetted infill; roof of
modern concrete pantiles. 2 storeys. A single range gable end onto the road.
4 windows, 2-light and 3-light small pane casements; to the rear (east) a 6-
panel door (Yew Tree Cottage) and a C16-C17 plank door and one 4-light ovolo-
moulded mullion window (The Cafe). C19 shop windows and double doors to the
gable end facing The Street. Internal stack and one small gable end stack.
The Cafe has a particularly good interior: fine exposed framing, original
floorboarding and 2 ground floor arched doorways; cambered tie beam and simple
crown post roof.
