House; originally a dower house for Sibton Abbey, a house which formerly stood
close to the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey but which has now gone. Mid C18
with considerable C19 and C20 additions. Red brick, plaintiled roof. 2
storeys and attic. Symmetrical facade: 3 windows, sashes with glazing bars in
flush frames, flat brick arches; the ground floor windows reach to ground
level. Doorway with twin half-glazed doors, moulded architrave with corner
roundels and Greek Doric portico on fluted columns and pilasters. Brick band
at first floor level, moulded brick eaves dentil cornice. 2 small dormers.
Later additions to both sides.
