House. Mid C19. White Flemish bond brick with a slate roof Two storeys.
Entrance front: 5 bays symmetrically disposed. Central bay with pilasters
to either side of it at first floor level and to ground floor a central
door which is 1/2-glazed and has a panelled surround with lion heads to the
tops and fluting at either side with decorated fanlight above, and
figurehead keystone. Before this is a flat-roofed porch with Roman Doric
columns. To either side at ground floor level are 2-light windows with
round heads and intersecting tracery and brick voussoirs. To the first
floor are 5 windows of 3 x 4 panes and above these is a heavy decorative
cornice with cogged bands, projecting headers and decorative trail in
terracotta. To either side at ground floor level are projecting semi-
octagonal bay windows. Left hand side: to right is the semi-octagonal bay
which has round-arched 2-light windows similar to those seen on the
entrance front. To left of this at ground floor level is a tripartite
window and 2 sash windows of 3 x 4 panes. To the first floor, above a band
of 4 bricks depth, are a further 2 windows of 3 x 4 panes and above this is
a deep cornice with moulded bricks and projecting portion which has
tripartite windows to the ground floor at right with a central sash of 3 x
4 panes and lateral lights of 1 x 4 and a glazed door at far left. The
first floor has a tripartite window at right set in an oriel with cogged
band below. Sash window of 3 x 4 panes to left of this. Right hand side:
service wing at right with randomly distributed fenestration. At left is a
canted bay with a hipped roof similar to that on the left hand flank.

Interior: Staircase hall with staircase of one flight having a wrought iron
balustrade, moulded mahogany hand rail with wreathed curtail. Moulded
surrounds to the doors with ribbed side panels and patterae to the upper
corners. Heavily moulded cornice above. Neo-classical chimney pieces to
the two other ground floor rooms.
